Job Summary

Self-motivated Project Management Professional to manage a variety of cross-functional projects for a growing, fast moving consumer health product company including primarily projects involving Innovation/Product Development, M&A, Integrations, Business Process, Medical & Regulatory Affairs Engagements, and Commercial (sales/marketing) needs. 

This role is entrepreneurial in nature and will need to work in collaboration with a worldwide network of independent associated companies to maximize optimal management of key cross functional projects. Accountable for all aspects of team projects. This position is based out of our New York City office and will require some travel within North America.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Plan Project Resources: Make a feasible plan that achieves the goals and objectives of the project and aligns with the organization’s overall business strategy. Define the project’s scope and determine what resources are available, project prioritization, estimate time and financial commitment, monitor and report on the project’s progress.
  • Assemble and Lead a Project Team: Define, assign tasks, hold to deadlines, and provide tools to collaborate. Meet regularly and get status updates to chart progress, reallocate resources as needed.
  • Time Management: Meet required project deadlines. Communicate to keep all stakeholders on task.  Define, schedule and accurately estimate the task duration to develop and maintain the schedule.
  • Create Budgets: Determine proper funding for the project; gain funding approval, keep the project within or under budget.  Accurately estimate and monitor the actual spend as compared to the planned budget and adjust accordingly.
  • Deliver Quality and Satisfaction:  Ensure stakeholders are satisfied with results. This includes communicating, reporting on progress, and getting feedback.
  • Manage Issues and Risk:  Be prepared to address issues and work towards quick resolution to keep the project on-track. Proactively identify risks or potential problems and set in place a plan of action as needed.
  • Monitor Progress:  Ensure projects are progressing as planned by constantly measuring and comparing metrics against the plan. Collect project data, such as status reports, ensure the progress of the project is meeting initial plan. Adjust or reallocate resources to accommodate changes.
  • Report and Document: Actively communicate to teams and stakeholders. For teams, provide more detailed information.  For stakeholders, provide broader data to check the project’s progress.  Assist R+D Head with innovation governance/ R+D portfolio reporting.

Education and Experience

  • Project Management Professional certification, together with proven track record of successful project management in a highly regulated industry, preferably CPG/HCP Industry experience.
  • Ideally +15 years of experience; 5-8 years as a project management professional.
  • Familiarity with project management collaboration and time management tools.
