Job Summary

Assist team with various projects; keep the office running including working with both office and conference room technology and/or equipment.  This position will be the link across various commercial areas (focus on sales and marketing) and assist with regular activity such as sales representative conferences, customer meetings, trade shows, local team/group event, organizing sales & marketing support samples/materials, marketing competitive monitoring, new item setup, vendor onboarding, system setup, and coordinating various other commercial administrative functions.

Primary Responsibilities
  • NYC Office reception (daily as needed, mostly commercial visitors)
  • Order office supplies, handle IT requests, provide technical support for meetings  
  • Event planning /meeting management (across all functions with heavy commercial focus)
  • Procurement process coordination PO/invoicing/contracting (across all functions with heavy commercial focus)
  • Commercial Coordination - marketing and sales. Update the Emerson Portal, assist in trade planning, new item set up, provide trade show support, brand assets management, trade promotion tracking, training, etc. 
Education and Experience
  • Minimum of an Associate Degree or higher preferred
  • Prior facilities or client-service experience such as hospitality, reception, or administrative support helpful
  • 3+ years related experience preferred with primary experience in contracts administration, preferable with Ariba i.e. drafting and reviewing vendor agreements and confidentially agreements
Necessary Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • Must be flexible and able to work in the Midtown NYC office
  • Ability to work some early mornings and evenings
  • Ability to lift boxes for stocking office and move furniture for room set ups, up to 25 pounds
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, Cisco system, WebEx or similar video conferencing systems
  • Proactive, creative, detailed oriented problem solver, self-learner, naturally curious, emotionally intelligent, logical and proven ability to take initiative
