Job Summary

The Senior Manager, Compensation & Benefits will work with the Executive Director, Total Rewards, to design, implement and manage all aspects of the Company’s compensation programs (base pay, non-sales annual incentive, and long-term incentive plans).  In addition, the Senior Manager, Compensation & Benefits will partner with Total Rewards team members in the implementation, management, compliance and administration of the Company’s retirement and H&W programs.

Primary Responsibilities

Compensation:

  • Partner with the Executive Director, Total Rewards, to design, implement and execute the Company’s compensation programs, ensuring that they are consistent with the Company’s Total Rewards strategy and aligned with the Company’s business objectives
  • Responsible for the administration of the Company’s compensation programs, including management of the year-end compensation planning process
  • Create compensation policies, guidelines and procedures and recommend revisions that are aligned with the Company’s business objectives
  • Lead the development and implementation of compensation related HR systems and other tools to support and create efficiencies with regard to compensation planning and administration
  • Continually assess the competitiveness of all compensation programs and practices against the relevant comparable companies, industries and markets; includes maintaining the Company’s participation in compensation surveys
  • Partner with HR Business Partners and Talent Acquisition colleagues regarding specific compensation issues, including new hire offers and other employee pay considerations
  • Prepare meeting materials for the Talent Development and Compensation Committee of the Board of Directors
  • Collaborate with Finance to provide estimates, forecasts and spend for compensation programs
  • Create and implement manager and employee compensation communication materials
  • Partner with senior management as the project manager responsible for the development, communication and assessment of the Company’s Corporate Objectives

 

Benefits:

  • Partner with the Executive Director, Total Rewards and the Director, Benefits & HRIS on the implementation, management, administration and legal compliance of contemporary retirement and H&W benefit programs
    • In 2019, will participate in the outsourcing of H&W plan administration to third party vendor
  • Responsible for the management and administration of the executive Supplemental Savings Plan
  • Play a key role in managing relationships with third-party consultants and benefit providers
  • Responsible for creation of annual retirement and H&W programs benefits budget

 

Other:

  • Partners with the Executive Director, Total Rewards and other HR colleagues on varied and complex projects, frequently providing analytical and technical support

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor’s Degree required; advanced degree and/or professional certifications preferred
  • 5+ years of progressive compensation responsibility, including experience in running compensation programs’ year-end compensation cycles; benefits responsibility a plus

Necessary Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Advanced user skills in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Outlook)
  • Strong knowledge of quantitative analysis techniques used in compensation analyses
  • Excellent quantitative and qualitative analytical skills with proven ability to demonstrate data interpretation that maps back to business terms and outcomes
  • Familiarity with how HR and Payroll data are administered
  • Experience in using Human Resource management systems, including compensation modules
  • Excellent communication skills (both oral and written), as defined by the ability to create and deliver effective correspondence and presentations to Senior Management
  • Exceptional problem-solving skills with a strong attention to detail; keen ability to multi-task and prioritize work deliverables as needs evolve
  • Ability to build relationships, collaborate and influence others
